FOLCKEMER
  Marian Avery Folckemer, 94, passed away on May 8, 2000.
  She was born March 18, 1906 in Cleveland, Ohio to Evelyn and Louis Husted. She married George Raymond Avery in 1930 in Cleveland and moved to Corpus Christi with him in 1934 when he accepted a position with the Southern Alkali Corporation.
  Marian was an accomplished artist. She studied art at the Ohio School of Commercial Art and the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. She became a free-lance commercial artist of Cleveland prior to her marriage. She was an active member of many Corpus Christi art organizations including the Art Guild, Art Center of Corpus Christi, Watercolor and Pastel Societies.
  She was a long term member of the TSPE Ladies Auxiliary and both the Oak Park and First United Methodist Churches. Always close to her heart were the members of her Sewing Club, which met continuously for over sixty years.
  She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Lois Carol Avery in 1936, first husband G.R. Avery in 1957, second husband W.H. Folckemer, Sr. in 1988 (married 1969) and stepdaughter Judith Folckemer Branson in 1995.
  She is survived by her sister, Florence Barrett of Spring Hill, Florida; daughter Janet Avery Zepeda (Charles) of Odem, Texas; son Ronald L. Avery (Nancy) of San Antonio, Texas; stepson W.H. Folckemer, Jr. (Claudia) of Richmond, Texas; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
  The family wishes to express their fond gratitude to her caregiver of the past three years, Judith A. Lee and to In-Home Care Services and Christus Spohn Hospice.
  Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 13, 2000 at 3:00 PM in the Seaside Chapel. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery.
  In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest contributions be made in her name to the Art Center of Corpus Christi or the First United Methodist Church.

GARZA
  ALICE, TEXAS - Carlos Garza, Sr., age 69, was called by our Lord to his resting place on May 12, 2000 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Carlos was a loving, compassionate and generous man, always ready to help anyone in need. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and after he retired in Houston, Carlos moved back to Duval County at Guajillo Community. Carlos was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
  He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilberto Garza, Sr., and Enecina Ruiz Garza and a brother Enrique Garza, Sr.
  Survivors include his former wife, Maria Elena Bazan Shultz of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; one son, Carlos (Roxanna) Garza, Jr. of Alvin, Texas; one daughter Priscilla (Jimmy) Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas; five grandchildren: Deanndra, Adrianna, Sergio Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas, Ashley and Cortney Garza of Alvin, Texas; four brothers: Erasmo (Elena) Garza of Guajillo Community, Duval County, Texas, Corando (Nancy) Garza of North Heights, California, Gilberto (Lydia) Garza, Jr. of Pasadena, Texas, Humberto (Esperanza) Garza of Pasadena, Texas; one sister, Esperanza (Tony) Cuevas of Alice, Texas; sister-in-law, Dora Garza Flores of Alice, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
  A rosary will be recited Sunday, May 14, 2000 at 6:00 p.m. in the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, Texas.
  Mass will be celebrated Monday, May 15, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe in Alice, Texas.
  Burial will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery in Alice, Texas.

GASCA
  CORPUS CHRISTI - Jesusa M. Gasca, "Susie", age 88, passed away on May 12, 2000 in Rockport, Texas. She was born on January 10, 1912 to Crispin and Genara Moreno in Oakville, Texas. She was a life long resident of Corpus Christi, Texas until moving to Rockport, Texas three months ago.
  She is survived by one son, Johnny (Adela) Hernandez, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; one daughter, Rachel (Jose G.) Garcia of Rockport, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
  A Prayer service will be held, Saturday, May 13, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Rockport, Texas.
  Visitation will be Sunday, May 14, 2000 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel, Rockport, Texas.
  Interment will follow at the Rockport Cemetery, Rockport Texas.

KULLMAN
  PORTLAND, TEXAS-Jordan Scott Kullman, 15, a life long resident of Portland, Texas passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2000.
  He was born August 21, 1984 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Ronnie & Jann Kullman. Jordan was a sophomore at Gregory-Portland High School. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Gregory-Portland Junior Varsity Soccer Team and the Student Council.
  Jordan's great passion was soccer which he played all of his life. He was a member of the Ultimate State Championship Soccer Team and dreamed of playing varsity for the Gregory-Portland Wildcats.
  Jordan worshipped with his family at the First United Methodist Church of Portland. A living example of his strong faith, Jordan shared his deep commitment to Christ with his fellow students. He served as a member of the Leadership Team of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes during the summer of 1999. Characteristic of Jordan's active faith was his ministry on a youth mission team in Costa Rica in 1998.
  Jordan is survived by his parents: Ronnie and Jann Kullman of Portland, Texas, his twin sister: Janna Suzanne Kullman of Portland, Texas, his paternal grandparents: Dorothy and Chink Kullman of Aransas Pass, Texas, his maternal grandparents: Melvin and Fern George of San Antonio, Texas; four uncles, Darce and Lu Ann Kullman of Houston, Texas, Jeffrey and Kathy Kullman of Plano, Texas, Ernie and Pam Poston of Boulder Creek, California and Keith George of San Antonio, Texas his aunt: Zoe Ann and Kris Simmons of Portland, Texas, and eight cousins.
  There will be a visitation Friday, May 12, 2000, at the First United Methodist Church of Portland at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at Saturday, May 13, 2000 at First United Methodist Church of Portland at 3:30 PM with Rev. Lynn Barton officiating. Burial will follow at San Patricio Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be the Gregory-Portland Ultimate Soccer Team. Expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1501 Denver, Portland Texas, 78374.

MCKINNEY
  Evelyn Edith McKinney, 90, passed away on May 12, 2000. She was born July 28, 1909, in Ft. Worth, Texas and was raised in Dallas, Texas. She spent most of her adult years in Tyler, Texas.
  Mrs. McKinney was preceded in death by her husband, Sam C. Mckinney. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed. We will continue to enjoy her many paintings she loved to create.
  She is survived by three daughters, Dolores Reitz (Babe) of Altair, Texas, Cherry Pruett (Bill) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Sammie Peterson (Greg) of Colleyville, Texas. Other survivors include five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one niece; and two great-nephews.
  Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2000 at Clifford Jackson Funeral Home.
  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2000 at Cathedral In The Pines Cemetery in Tyler, Texas.
  In lieu of flowers friends may make donations to a favorite charity.

MCKINNY
  Stanley McKinny of Sandia, Texas, passed away May 10, 2000, he was 62.
  Survivors include his wife of 43 years Barbara McKinny of Sandia, Texas; one daughter, Gwynell McKinny Westervelt, (Van) of Bluntzer, Texas; two sons, Charles Stanley (Chuck) McKinny, Jr. (Leslie) of Portland and Gary Gene McKinny (Sunny) of Taft; one sister, Willie Pearl Fowler of Swinney Switch, Texas; two brothers, Dr. Wayne Ross McKinny (Minjo) of Palm Springs, California, and Preston Darrell McKinny (Cindy) of Flour Bluff, Texas; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
  Family will be receiving friends at Colonial Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday May 12, 2000.
  Funeral service will be held Saturday May 13, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at The First Baptist Church in Taft.
  Burial will follow at San Patricio Memorial Gardens in Portland.
  In lieu of flowers family has requested donations be made to Lakeview Baptist Church P.O. Box 493, Mathis, Texas 78368.

MORA
  Robert R. Mora, 87, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2000 in a local hospital.
  Mr. Mora was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, member of Knights of Columbus in Falfurrias, Texas and a member of Lulac Council of Falfurrias. He was a real estate broker, and worked for the Naval Air Station as a purchasing agent. Mr. Mora was in charge of claims and transportation during World War II. He was an avid jogger, runner and bicyclist. He was the superintendent for United Carbon Co. Inc near Falfurrias, served on the Brooks County School Board for 15 years, the State Labor Department under Governor Aldred. He operated a grocery Feed and Seed Store and service station in Falfurrias, Texas. He was a loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
  He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Canales Mora of Corpus Christi, Texas; a daughter, Rosario (Adolfo) Cantu of Plano, Texas; a son, Roberto (Laura) Mora of Laredo, Texas; three brothers, Alexandro (Luz) Mora of Harlingen, Texas; Daniel Mora of Falfurrias, Texas; Gilbert (Emma) Mora of Corpus Christi, Texas; five grandchildren, Robert X. Cantu of Dallas, Texas; Yvette (Gus) Hermosillo of San Antonio, Texas; Roxanne Elissa Cantu of Austin, Texas; Leticia Jo Mora of San Antonio, Texas; Ricardo Andres Cantu of Plano, Texas; 2 great-grandchildren, Matthew Vincent Cantu of Dallas, Texas; Daniella Hermosillo of San Antonio, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2000 with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.
  Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2000 at Most Precious Blood.
  Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
  Pallbearers will be Felix Mora, Jr., Homer Mora, Calixto Mora, Jr., Rene Carrillo, Robert Cantu and Ricardo Cantu.

PRADO
  Carlos Arturo Prado, 80, passed away on May 12, 2000.
  Services are under the direction of Trevino Funeral Home.

SANDOVAL
  Elisa R. Sandoval, 57, of Corpus Christi passed away Tuesday May 9, 2000 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
  Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2000 at Christ the King Catholic Church.
  Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
